How It Works
Basic Gameplay
Explore the real world to discover Pokémon, collect useful items from PokéStops, and battle at Gyms and Raids as you build a stronger team. 💥
Create Your Trainer
Download Pokémon GO from Google Play or the App Store. Sign in with your Google account or Pokémon Trainer Club, customize your Trainer, choose a nickname, and enable location services.
Explore the Map
The in-game map reflects your real-world surroundings. Blue cubes mark PokéStops, tall towers represent Gyms, and nearby Pokémon appear as icons or rustling grass. Tap anything on the map to interact with it.
Catch Pokémon
Tap a wild Pokémon to begin an encounter. Swipe a Poké Ball toward the shrinking target circle for the best chance of catching it. Use Berries and stronger Poké Balls when facing tougher Pokémon.
Visit PokéStops and Gyms
Walk close to a PokéStop and spin its Photo Disc to collect Poké Balls, Potions, Gifts, and other useful items. 🎁 Battle rival Gyms or place one of your Pokémon in a friendly Gym to help defend it.
Strengthen Your Team
Spend Stardust and Candy to power up or evolve your Pokémon. Transfer duplicates to Professor Willow for extra Candy, and keep your item bag organized by removing unnecessary items.
Join Raids and Events
Challenge powerful Raid Bosses at nearby Gyms alone or with other Trainers. Take part in the GO Battle League, complete research tasks, and enjoy limited-time events featuring exclusive Pokémon and special bonuses. 😄
